Hello, I will be using my old blog for this assignment. I am finally able to sit down and start this assignment, I have sent an email to Lee explaining the circumstances tied to my lack of progress in the module, and I plan to fix this over Christmas and January.
So here will be my blog development plan going forward:
Mondays - Review of Class.
Tuesdays - Research and development for short film.
Wednesdays - Review of Class.
Thursdays - Research and development for short film.
Fridays - Review of Class.

Review of Classes
Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday I will review Lee's classes that he held throughout the semester. This will give me a chance to refresh myself with the content, allowing me to make more informed decisions when it comes to research.
Each class review will look at the artists that Lee had chosen, and then looking at their work a little more deeply. I want to see what the artists were trying to achieve with their work, as a lot of it was experimental it will be subjective. My hope is to find something that will inspire me with the techniques that previous auteurs have used.
Schedule for the next 12 class reviews:
Monday - Weeks 1, 4, 7 and 10.
Wednesday - Weeks 2, 5, 8 and 11.
Friday - Weeks 3, 6, 9 and 12.
So over the next month I will cover all of the classes, giving a short summary of the content that was included, how it made me feel and what I thought that the artist was trying to achieve.
I will also include whether or not that the piece that Lee has decided to show us inspired my final project in anyway.
Research and Development for Experimental Short Film

This will be slightly different, as there are two days dedicated to it in my schedule, that necessarily doesn't mean that I wont write/develop/think about it when it isn't that particular day.
My partner and I watch all kinds of films, TV shows, cartoons and anime on a somewhat frequent basis. So I feel finding inspiration wont be hard to find, that being said I will document everything that I have watched in preparations for this module. I want to base my final project around Virtual Reality Technologies and how they are interfering with how people can truly see the world. For some it is an escape for others it is just an experience, but it has always fascinated me especially after my placement where we developed VR worlds for our client.
The VR landscape truly is something that is both staggering and terrifying at the same time, will there come a point where we are fully submerged in a virtual plane of existence like Mr Anderson? Or will it just be another gimmick that you have in the living room to show people when they come over?
Either way, VR has inspired me to make a short on Virtual Desires, as I feel as time goes on and the technology gets better, this becomes more of a topic I want to dive into.
Below here are some of the materials that I will be watching and reading to see if I can get any inspiration.

The Matrix series
Sword Art Online
Ready Player One
Total Recall

The Lawnmower Man
