Introduction to DRJ format
Hello and welcome to the first post of my Dissertation Research Journal! This post will just outline the structure that I am using, so that way when it comes to marking my dissertation you will know which posts are relevant and which are not.
Each post will have a tag at the front, as an example this post is DRJ#1. So if I end up making twenty posts for example, you will know that DRJ#1 - DRJ#20 are all the relevant posts that need to be considered for my Dissertation Research Journal.
Class, Research and Miscellaneous Notes
I have a variety of notes that I will be uploading to this blog and I prefer to mostly handwrite them. So on this blog you will seen either photos or scans of notes I have made in class, when I have researched a piece such as a video, book, article or other researched academic writings.
The posts will have a summary at the end of each one, that will be typed up on the blog.
Why a blog and not a journal?
Lee, my production supervisor, has been allowing the students of his classes to use a blog approach to capture, reflect and document our findings when we research a topic. So I have decided to use this method again, due to how familiar I have become with writing these blogs and I feel it will be the best way for me personally to capture my ideas, findings and to archive my research.
That's a wrap!
Thank you for taking the time to read this introductory post. Over the next week I will be uploading notes I have made from class, research documents I have compiled and other miscellaneous things that I feel would be helpful to show my thought process and ideas that I have.
